Virginia Rabbit Mission Statement

Virginia Rabbit Inc., is incorporated in Virginia as a division of T.M.I. Truck and Equipment, a DBA of Tidewater Mack Inc., a corporation registered in the state of Maryland. The Virginia Rabbit division has been formed to provide support for the house rabbits of Virginia and northeast North Carolina and to provide financial assistance to local and national house rabbit rescue organizations. T.M.I. Truck also provides commercial space, funding for all needed supplies, veterinary bills and paid staff for all animal needs of Virginia Rabbit Inc.

It is our passionate belief that house rabbits should be kept inside the home without the limitations of a cage. Domestic rabbits should never be kept in outside "hutches". It is our goal to help rabbit owners understand how to train, feed, house, provide exercise and socialize their bunnies.

We believe that all rabbits are valuable gifts from God, with no issue being assigned to breed, age or past abuse and/or emotional problems. We take great pride in our rabbit friendly housing design, knowledge in relation to care and socialization and forever home placement of large breed bunnies. We believe that we have one of the East Coast's finest privately operated rescue facilities. Functioning as a no kill organization, the welfare of domestic rabbits is our primary consideration. We proudly provide support and long term care for each and every rabbit's natural life without regard to expense.

All of our rabbits in our shelter are available for adoption. Placement of these animals is by written application only. All adoption applications are subject to approval by senior Virginia Rabbit Inc. staff.

Finally, we provide assistance to all who already have rabbits as to how to care for these wonderful creatures and offer 24-hour, 7 days a wekk support as needed for the entire house rabbit community.
